My Grandmother passed away last year on January 1, I never thought she would die She was made of stronger stuff than most people, growing up in Coventry England during WWII, she was adopted by abusive exploitative people and was mending a broken heart when she met an American Serviceman whom she married in England boarded a ship and then came here to America alone to meet up with him. A lot of young women came here to find the men that married them in haste were no where to be found but For my Nan it was the best thing that happened to her, My Poppy took her around the world they had 4 children and raised 5 and all the friends. I spent every weekend and more with her from 11-16 years old and I loved her so. If I were to call her and say "Nan, I have Cancer. She would have been upset but she would have first made tea" I am going to use this lovely sketch as an idea for a tattoo next week I love Neil Gaiman
